Not far from Sagrada Familia, we find La Cúpula, a curious restaurant known for its remarkable and well-crafted traditional cuisine, as well as its collection of Hispano-Suiza vintage cars.
Few restaurants can also claim to be a museum. The first thing to surprise visitors when arriving at La Cúpula is its permanent collection of seven vintage cars by Hispano-Suiza, an automaker established in Barcelona in 1904. The vehicles add a special note of distinction to an establishment that is already remarkable for its classic elegance.
The culinary concept at La Cúpula combines superbly with its aesthetic. The menu features a selection of traditional Catalan fare with a sprinkling of French influence. This is perfectly exemplified by the beef fillet in wine sauce with straw potatoes, tempura-battered monkfish with crumbled squid ink and saffron mayonnaise or thyme-crusted lamb loin with celery parmentier.
