Can Xurrades can proudly call itself the only restaurant in Barcelona that serves the delectable Bos taurus ibericus beef from the Ibérica de León mountain range. Chef Rafa Martínez calls it the “caviar of meat”, and the chuletón (ribsteak) is undoubtedly the menu's star dish. The meat comes from 12-year-old bullocks of this particular breed and is aged for 60 days.
The chef also recommends the Getaria-style charcoal-grilled turbot, Rafa's steak tartare, snail carpaccio with herb-infused olive oil, as well as many other traditional dishes and tapas served in the restaurant's spacious yet cosy dining room.
